Don’t forget the teabags when you go on holiday!

Us Brits are a curious lot aren’t we? We spend all the long cold winter months longing for warmer climbs with soft golden beaches and clear skies, but when we actually get to go to these exotic locations we still hanker for the things that make us quintessentially British, including our favourite teabags.

According to a new survey when we Britons go on holiday it is not just our summer clothes, passport and sun cream we carefully pack into our suitcases, we also make sure there is room in our baggage allowance for a healthy supply of teabags and even some other British essentials such as good quality biscuits.

The survey conducted by Europcar found that nearly a third of us regularly take our own brand of tea on holiday with us. The poll of 2000 people found that 55 percent take their teabags with them whilst 49 percent did the same with coffee. 32 percent brought along their biscuits and 30 percent didn’t trust that there would be fluffy towels at their holiday destination. 29 percent wanted their own brand of crisps and 23 percent brought along their own booze too.
