Canderel: our kind of sweetener
When you place your next order for sweetener for the workplace, I bet you sometimes think about how this product came about and how it has almost completely replaced sugar in sweetening our teas, coffees, and other drinks. Today, we’ll look at one of UKVending’s range of sweeteners, our Yellow Canderel that comes in packets of 500 sachets.
Canderel was first marketed in France in 1979 and made it into the United Kingdom in 1983. At, first the sweetener was only available in tablet dispensers and later in granulated jars and has since gone on to become the country’s most popular low-calorie sweetener.
Canderel Yellow – a low calorie sweetener made using sucralose that is ideal for cooking and baking. It has become the UKs most popular choice because Canderel has an extremely sweet flavour, with no aftertaste but its main benefit is its low-caloric value. Each teaspoon of the sweetener contains just 2 calories and 0.47g of carbohydrates. By comparison, a teaspoon of granulated sugar contains around 16 calories.
