£80 for melted iceberg!

Here at UKVending we pride ourselves on offering our customers first class customer services, excellent products and above all the best prices for products in our vending machines. So we were, quite literally, astonished when we heard that a certain top London luxury store, okay we’ll call them Harrods for arguments sake, have been selling bottled water.

Nothing unusual in that, I hear you cry. Wait. They are selling bottled water that contains melted iceberg which they claim is exceptionally pure and contains almost no minerals. Only two expeditions per year are made to the icebergs located in Svalbard, one of the most remote communities somewhere between the North Pole and Norway.

Harrods then takes the 13,000 750ml bottles and sells them to people with a lot of money. I say a lot of money because this melted iceberg water retails at £80 a bottle. Here’s the kicker though, a national newspaper did a taste test in the street outside of Harrods and eleven out of twenty couldn’t tell the difference from normal free tap water.
